Facebook Thoughts - 1
So as of late I have been on Facebook a lot. Myspace has kind of died but I keep it around because there will always be that group of twenty or so people who will never switch.
I think facebook has caught on so well because they don’t allow you to jack up your page with crappy graphics and things of that nature. Myspace is often times slow and peoples pages look like something out of a kindergarten class.
I like being on facebook because a lot of my family is on it. Granted I don’t talk to half of them half the time. I do talk to them more than I would had they not a Facebook. Some of them would see my messages were they to simply log on even just once a month.
As of late I have been adding people from high school. People I have not seen in a while, hell even people I did not talk to that much. I have found that the people I have added form high school I am talking to now more than I did when we where in high school. I think it so cool to see how people are doing after school and how their lives are changing. No longer will high school reunions be giant updates about what we have been doing for the past 10 years. I think my 10 year reunion will be more about the face to face expericance that anything else. Everyone will be able to get together and see each other in the flesh. Give a hug or two. We will all have lots to talk about because we will already know what’s going on in each others lives. And after the event, heck on the car rides, the train and plain rides the conversations will contenue.
I am excited to see what new friendships and relationships come out of facebook.
